All Saints Primary registered two wins as action in the Pine Hill Dairy-sponsored National Sports Council’s Primary Schools Netball Competition continued at the Speightstown, St Peter hard-court today.
First the young ladies trounced St Alban’s Primary 11-0 with goal-shoot Nekara Bishop netting 10 goals from 16 attempts and Jelissa Thompson scoring one from two.
Their offensive output was not as great in their second match but they still managed to defeat Gordon Greenidge 3-1 with Bishop (two goals from two attempts) and Thompson (one from four) being their scorers once again. Ebonia Browne scored the only goal for Gordon Greenidge.
Also in winners’ row were the young ladies of Selah Primary. They defeated Half Moon Fort 6-0 with Jonique Broomes netting four goals from six attempts and Kayla Depeiza scoring the two attempts she made at goal.
Selah Primary couldn’t maintain their winning ways, though, as they succumbed 3-1 to Gordon Greenidge. Jenna Greaves was a perfect three from three for the winners while Broomes got Selah’s goal.
Tyesha Hinds’ three goals were enough to earn Roland Edwards a 3-1 win over Half Moon Fort for whom Faith Marshall scored their solitary goal from her only attempt.
Ignatius Byer had a mixed day. First they defeated Boscobel Primary 3-1 with Katrice Broome’s three attempts resulting in three goals and Samika Watson netting for Boscobel.
In their second game, try as hard as they could, neither Ignatius Byer nor Roland Edwards could find their shooting touch and the game finished a 0-0 draw.
In another match played, St Lucy Primary and St. Alban’s played to a 2-2 draw. Tianna Watson (1 from 4) and Jamia Thompson (1 from 2) scored for St Lucy while Liana Leacock (1 from 1) and Jamika Sandiford (1 from 2) were the goal-scorers for St Alban’s.
