KINGSTON, Jamaica - Jamaica's Sunshine Girls have been boosted by the inclusion of seasoned campaigner Jhaniele Fowler-Reid for their upcoming three-game tour of England.
The 27-year-old goal-shooter, a fixture in the national side in recent years, opted out of Jamaica's recent overseas tours because of recent commitments.

However, after struggling in a recent series against New Zealand and in the Fast5 Netball World Series in Australia, the Sunshine Girls will welcome back Fowler-Reid, who said she was already looking forward to donning national colours again.
“I am very excited to be going back to the squad to train with them as part of the team going to England later this month,” she said.
“I am looking forward to helping to redeem some of what we have lost over the past few weeks with the games we have played in New Zealand and Australia, and I am hoping to give my best performance here.”
The Sunshine Girls will open the Vitality International Series against England at the Copper Box Arena in London on November 29 before travelling to Manchester for the second game at Belle Vue on December 2.
Jamaica will wrap up the series with the final game at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on December 4.
Fowler-Reid, who plied her trade professionally in the ANZ Championship up until this year, said she would be working on her fitness in coming weeks and backed herself to be ready for the upcoming series.
“In terms of shape, I am not yet fully where I want to be fitness-wise, but I am getting ready and I will be working on getting to a level where I think I will be okay on the court,” she explained.
“My body is ready and my skill is always there, but fitness really plays an important role for being on the court for 60 minutes, and with a little more running and cardio, I will be ready.”
The Sunshine Girls are currently ranked fourth in the world, behind England who lie third, with Australia top of the pile and New Zealand second.
