It is still too early to pick which four teams will make it to the playoffs from that particular zone but former netball queens St Giles stamped their authority with a 10-2 win over George Lamming Primary who trailed 7-0 at half time.

Goal-attack Serena Edwards and goal-shooter Shemarla Wickham complimented each other well and they both netted five goals each from a combined 18 attempts. George Lamming goal-attack Tionce Waldron scored both goals for her school but did not receive much support.

Deacons Primary also got a taste of defeat at the hands of St Giles Primary who led 6-1 at half time and eventually took the win 7-1. Credit must be given to Deacons who defended a lot better in the second half even though they were called for faulty footwork on a number of occasions.

Edwards in her role as goal-attack scored four from five and goal-shoot Wickham three of five. Nyrobi Alleyne at goal-attack for Deacons was spot on scoring two of two.

Belmont edged Deacons 2-1 in a low-scoring game. Goal-shooter Rihanna Wyre and Tia Spellen had one goal each while Deacons goal-attack Riya Grazette had the one goal for her school.

Hindsbury Primary became Belmont’s second victim when they lost 4-3. Goal-attack Spellen netted all four for Belmont. Hindsbury’s goal-shooter Mai Lynn Griffith scored three goals from six attempts.

Tianna Harris in her post as goal-attack netted two and goal-shoot Geneva Alleyne one. Scoring for St Winifred’s were goal-attack Emma Hodgkinson and goal-shooter Charlotte Howard with one goal each from a combined four attempts.
