This is the first of five zones to have concluded the opening round and West Terrace Primary who are usually one of the top contenders convincingly defeated Good Shepherd Primary 14-0 with goal-attack Skye Spencer-Layne scoring eight from ten attempts, goal-shooters Sierra Rayside netted four and Nalanni Cumberbatch had two goals. The going was so tough for Good Shepherd shooters Zarina Williams (goal-shooter) and Nevaeh Moore (goal-attack) that they did not have any scoring opportunities.

Good Shepherd were edged 2-1 by Hillaby Turner’s Hall with goal-attack Arrianne Carrington accounting for both goals while Nevaeh Moore netted the one goal for Good Shepherd who suffered their third defeat of the day at the hands of St Joseph Primary. They nipped Good Shepherd 1-0 with St Joseph Primary goal-attack Rania Roberts being responsible for the victory.
St Stephen’s Primary also managed a 1-0 win in Zone two when they took on Grazettes Primary thanks to goal-shooter Chanelle Walcott.

At James Bryan Sports Complex in the Pamala Proverbs Zone, a strange coincidence occurred when Ellerton Primary played three matches and did not have any scoring attempts in those three encounters. Against Blackman and Gollop Primary they lost 3-0 with goal-shooter Shazari Hunte putting two through the hoop from her four attempts and goal-attack Kandria Gomes scored one of her three.
They also lost to Mount Tabor Primary 3-0 with goal-attack Sasha Alleyne effortlessly scoring three from her effort of six attempts and the struggle continued when they came up against St Bernard’s Primary and were beaten 2-0 as goal-shooter Jatari Worrell secured both goals.
Cuthbert Moore Primary were outstanding at home and this time St Bernard’s were no match going down 6-0. Goal-attack Zariah Mascoll fell one short of a perfect score when she netted five goals along with one from goal-shooter Aaliyah Stoute.
